Morning: the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM)

First, after hotel pick-up, you head to the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM), close to the Giza Pyramids. It is one of the largest and most modern museum complexes dedicated to ancient Egypt.

The Grand Hall: right at the entrance, you see the monumental statue of Ramesses II, about 11 metres tall.

Then you travel to the famous Giza Plateau. With your Egyptologist, you see the three great pyramids – Khufu, Khafre and Menkaure.

The largest, the Great Pyramid of Khufu, was built around 2560 BC and was originally about 146 metres tall. What’s more, it is the only one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World to survive to this day.

Your guide also tells you about the history of the complex, pyramid construction methods and the most important archaeological discoveries.

Afterwards, you visit the monumental Great Sphinx and the Valley Temple of Khafre, one of the best-preserved parts of the Giza funerary complex.

Finally, you are driven comfortably back to your hotel.
